This Privacy Policy explains how Bastion Peak e.U. ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the mobile game HamiLoop (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
HamiLoop is a puzzle game rated 13+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under the age of 13. Please see the Children's Privacy section below for more detail.
HamiLoop's own backend is deliberately minimal. It does not require you to create an account, and it does not collect your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information. The only data transmitted from your device to our backend is:
We do not link this data to any other information about you, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles. This data is used solely for internal analytics and game-balancing purposes.
HamiLoop offers optional in-app purchases (for example, an ad-free upgrade and purchasable hints). All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store's In-App Purchase system. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple ID. Apple's own privacy policy governs the data collected during the purchase process; see Apple's Privacy Policy.
HamiLoop displays advertisements served through Google AdMob. To deliver, measure, and (where you have given consent) personalize ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect and process information such as:
Google AdMob may combine this information with data from other apps and services to provide analytics, fraud prevention, and — where you consent — personalized advertising. This processing is carried out by Google as an independent controller or processor, depending on your region and consent choice. For details on what Google collects and how it is used, see Google Privacy Policy.
| Category | Purpose | Shared With |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising identifiers, device data, IP-derived location, ad interaction data | Ad delivery, ad personalization (where consented), frequency capping, measurement, fraud prevention | Google AdMob and its certified advertising partners |
HamiLoop uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent/disclosure message the first time you use the App (and periodically thereafter as required), tailored to your region:
You can review or change your ad consent choices at any time from within the App's settings menu (Privacy Preference), where the consent form can be reopened.
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we and our partners rely on the following legal bases:
Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you have the right to:
HamiLoop's own backend only stores a random, on-device generated identifier together with level progress. We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information, and we have no way to link this identifier back to you as an individual. As a result, we are generally not able to single out or identify your specific record among other users' data. In accordance with Article 11 GDPR (and equivalent provisions elsewhere), where a controller cannot identify a data subject, it is not required to acquire or retain additional information solely to enable identification for the purpose of complying with a request.
In practice, this means individual access or deletion requests for this data cannot be fulfilled, as there is no means of distinguishing your record from any other user's. To address this, all progress data is automatically deleted no later than described in Section 8, without any action required on your part. Requests concerning data held by Google AdMob should be directed to Google via the tools described in Section 7.
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, or another U.S. state with an applicable privacy law, you may have the right to:
Advertising identifiers processed by Google AdMob for personalized ads may be considered a "sale" or "share" under some U.S. state laws. You can exercise your opt-out choice through the in-app consent message (UMP) described in Section 2, or through your device's ad settings described in Section 7.
If you are located elsewhere in the world, we aim to honor equivalent privacy rights where reasonably applicable — contact us using the details in Section 13 to make a request.
HamiLoop is rated 13+ on the App Store and is not directed at, nor intended for use by, children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, e.g., 16 in some EEA member states for consent-based processing). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under the applicable age has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action, including deletion of that information.
Because the App is not directed at children, Google AdMob is configured to serve ads under standard (non-child-directed) settings. Parents or guardians who believe their child is using the App despite its 13+ rating should supervise use accordingly and manage device-level advertising and privacy settings.
In addition to the in-app consent tool described in Section 2, you can further control ad personalization at the device or account level:
Opting out of personalized advertising does not stop ads from appearing — you will instead see non-personalized or contextual ads.
Because the random identifier is generated on your device and not tied to any account, uninstalling the App and reinstalling it will typically generate a new identifier, effectively disassociating you from any previously stored progress data on our backend even before the 12-month period elapses.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the limited data we collect from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
HamiLoop is distributed globally, and the App's backend and its third-party providers (including Google) may process and store data on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required by law (such as the GDPR), such transfers are made subject to appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms used by Google as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
The App may contain links to third-party content (e.g., via advertisements) that lead to websites or services outside our control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Where changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required by law (e.g., re-prompting the consent form).
